Employee Job Description
Title: Level I Parks
Reports to: Parks Director, Ken Hulka
Job summary
Maintain parks, recreation areas and all park equipment
Includes, but not limited to, mowing and maintaining all park fields, including
marking of fields, application of fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides to fields
Install and maintaining underground water systems
Clean and repair buildings, equipment, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing,
erecting and maintaining chain link fencing and cutting of brush
Janitorial duties and any other duties which may be assigned by the Parks Director
Reporting to Parks Director any issues or conflicts that would require the Directors
attention
Obtaining and submitting annual water samples
Any additional duties as may be required by the Parks Director
Minimum requirements Ability to read and write. High School Education Required
Abilities required Ability to understand and give clear oral instructions
Must be able to directly supervise any part-time or seasonal help
Must be able to communicate with the public and park users
Must be personable and able to work with others effectively
Must be able to work overtime as needed
Must be able to work independently
Physical requirements Must be able to lift heavy objects
